The Scout District provides young people with opportunities
to participate in adventurous outdoor activities, learn team-building
skills and develop new friendships while using the natural resources of
Derbyshire.
You can camp; hike, bike, climb, cave, canoe, sail, study the varied wild
life, play games and most of all have fun.
The Scout Groups are based in Ashbourne, Brailsford, Hulland Ward, Biggin
& Hartington, Crich, Lea & Holloway, Matlock and Darley Dale.
Scouting is a worldwide voluntary organisation and has a continuing
need for helpers over the whole range of activities. If you are an
adult, living or moving into the area and have skills to offer either
Beavers, Cubscouts, Scouts or Explorer Scouts, we can promise you
have fun, as well as a rewarding experience - helping young people
aspire to their future skillls, values and community involvement.
